Julian returns to New York, where as a teenager in the rave scene of the mid 90s he had magic dance experiences, and sets out to rediscover those magic moments. Instead he finds a transformed, cooperatized and and heavily controlled nightlife scene. What happened? This question and the search for dancers leads to an insightful documentary and adventurous personal journey into the nightlife of the 2010s, revealing its hidden gems, power structures and the historical backdrop that made all this possible.
